As their chosen construction partner for 2024-25 and 2025-2026, we’ve helped to revolutionise the look and feel of high street branches in Barrow Upon Furness, Ulverston and – as showcased here – Preston.
The brief
As part of their branch refurbishment programme, Preston’s branch of Furness Building Society was in real need of modernisation – and that’s exactly what we did.
Renovating and reconfiguring internal space to create a more welcoming and contemporary user experience, we combined insightful layouts with natural woods and warm muted shades.
With a strong emphasis on improving staff facilities whilst enhancing customer service, this was a design invested in meeting both staff and customer needs.
The work
Work started with a serious strip out, taking things back to basics to allow for a complete transformation of the internal space.
What followed was the creation of informal meeting spaces, private meeting rooms, cashier desks, customer seating areas and an attractive welcome desk.
Key elements of the work included:
New mechanical and electrical adaptations (M&E)
Feature lighting
Formation of new walls
Fitted joinery including new bespoke work desks, welcome desks, banquette seats and display spaces
Furniture
Acoustic treatments
Timber flooring
The result
Carefully designed, adaptable space to afford a welcome sense of openness without sacrificing the real need for privacy and private spaces.
