Foodwell / Firefly was delivered as a hospitality fit-out designed to operate across day and evening use, combining a restaurant setting with a more atmospheric bar environment.
The space brings together open dining areas, a central bar and layered seating to support a shift in use throughout the day.
The Brief
We needed to create a venue that could transition between daytime dining and evening service, while maintaining a strong and recognisable identity.
With a focus on layout, atmosphere and usability, the space needed to support efficient service while offering a range of seating experiences within a single environment.
The Work
The layout was organised around a central bar, with surrounding dining and seating areas arranged to support different types of use across the space.
Works focused on delivering a high-quality finish throughout, with integrated planting, layered lighting and detailed joinery used to define each area. Services and finishes were installed to support both the operational demands of the venue and the shift in atmosphere between day and night.
The Result
A venue that changes in character across the day, moving from a lighter, open dining environment into a more enclosed and atmospheric evening setting.
Planting and overhead features soften the space while helping to define different areas, with the bar acting as a constant focal point throughout. The layout supports a steady flow of service, allowing the venue to adapt without losing its overall structure.
