WOLF Spinningfields
Manchester
Located in Spinningfields, Wolf was delivered as a hospitality fit-out designed to create a strong, recognisable venue within one of Manchester’s busiest districts.
Bringing together a clear layout with a rich material palette, the space was shaped to support both the pace of service and the overall customer experience.
The Brief
The brief was to create a venue that felt distinctive and well-resolved, while remaining practical for day-to-day operation.
With a focus on atmosphere, flow and usability, the design needed to support staff movement and customer circulation, ensuring the space could perform efficiently during busy service periods.
The Work
Developing the layout to balance seating, bar areas and circulation, the space was organised to support a busy hospitality environment.
Key elements of the fit-out included bespoke joinery, bar installation, seating areas, feature lighting, and mechanical and electrical adaptations, alongside new wall and floor finishes. Materials and lighting were layered throughout to build depth and character across the venue.
The Result
A space anchored around the bar, where seating, lighting and circulation were arranged to draw people in and hold them there.
Darker tones and tighter sightlines created a more enclosed atmosphere, giving the venue a sense of depth and focus, while still allowing staff to move easily through the space during service. The layout supported a steady flow across the floor without feeling open or exposed, giving each area its own presence within the room.
