Bridgewater House

Bridgewater House blends modern aesthetics with traditional features. Showcasing how contemporary design – done right – can sit in perfect harmony with historic surroundings.

The brief

This was a CAT A fit-out of a full floor at the icon Bridgewater House in Manchester.

Designated as a Grade II listed building, our client was keen to highlight existing features of the building, such as steel beams, lift shafts, and brickwork.

The work

Key features of the fit-out included:

  • Strip out
  • Exposed ductwork VRF system
  • New linear lighting
  • Formation of new fire-rated lobbies
  • New plumbing and sanitaryware

The result

Finding the right balance between old and new can be easier said than done. But not for us. And if ever there was a design to showcase how that sweet spot can be achieved, this is it!

Using an exposed services design to complement the industrial heritage of the building, alongside rustic brickwork and a carefully honed colour scheme, the results speak for themselves.

Work also included the introduction of a stunning new washroom facility.
