This project involved a high-spec CAT B fit-out across the top two floors of a listed building in Manchester’s vibrant Northern Quarter. The space, situated above the former Cottonopolis site, retains original features such as exposed timber floors and beams, which were carefully preserved and integrated into the final design.
The scheme delivers a modern and multifunctional head office environment, combining contemporary design with heritage elements. The scope of works included the formation of new office and washroom facilities, along with the creation of purpose-built spaces to support day-to-day operations.
Key elements of the fit-out included:
M&E adaptations
Feature lighting installations
Formation of new partition walls
Fitted joinery, including bespoke work desks, kitchen areas, and a custom reception desk
Furniture supply and installation
Electronic roller storage solutions
Dedicated photo studio spaces
Spanning 14,000 sq ft, the project was delivered over a 16-week programme, with close attention paid to material quality, spatial flow, and the retention of the building’s historic character.
